Choose Your Edition

With multiple editions available, it all comes down to choice. The following chart explains your options. Detail feature comparison matrix you can find here.

Server vs. Non-Server Editions

Adit Testdesk is available in Server and Non-Server editions. If you need to run tests over a network, either LAN or the Internet, the Server edition is a logical choice. If you only plan to run, grade, and analyze the results on a local computer, one of the Non-Server editions will offer the best value for money.

Server Editions

There are four types of Server editions.

  • Standard Edition is perfectly balanced for price-conscious customers, offering full networking capabilities in the most affordable package.
  • Professional Edition offers all the features of the Standard Edition plus the following benefits:
    • The ability to create fully personalized and multi-factor tests with support for variables and operations;
    • Automatic grading for the most complex questions thanks to scripting support;
    • The ability to create surveys (information is collected but not graded);
    • Analytic reports with statistics and parametric analysis.
    • An action can be performed on the server before or after the test is conducted, e.g. test results can be emailed, a file can be uploaded or downloaded, etc.
  • Enterprise Edition has all the features of the Professional edition with added benefits including:
    • Scheduling support;
    • Fully remote administration using the Telnet protocol;
    • The ability to create and print an official Certificate of Results for students who’ve successfully completed the test;
    • The ability to create self-contained executable tests. Self-contained tests are single EXE files that can be run on any computer, with or without Adit Testdesk installed. Self-contained tests are freely redistributable and royalty-free;
    • The ability to save sessions manually or automatically;
    • XML server action support.
  • Secure Edition performs everything the Enterprise Edition does, yet it uses secure communication protocols to guarantee authentic, tampering-proof results.
    • Supports SSL protocol for client-server communications with X.509 server authentication;
    • Remote administration via SSH 2.0 protocols with key or password-based authentication;
    • Supports SSL protocol for send email, HTTPS upload, and FTPS upload actions.

Non-Server Editions

There are three types of Non-Server editions.

  • Standard Edition is perfectly balanced for price-conscious customers by offering the perfect value for money.
  • Professional Edition offers all the features of the Standard Edition plus the following benefits:
    • The ability to create fully personalized and multi-factor tests with support for variables and operations;
    • Automatic grading for the most complex questions thanks to scripting support;
    • The ability to create surveys (information is collected but not graded);
    • Analytic reports with statistics and parametric analysis.
  • Enterprise Edition supports all the features of the Professional Edition while adding the ability to create self-contained executable tests. Self-contained tests are single EXE files that can be run on any computer, with or without Adit Testdesk installed. Self-contained tests are freely redistributable and royalty-free.
